Do I know Him at all?

Say there are 50 sheep grazing in a field and each has lambs so approx 85 lambs: Now one particular sheep bleats and calls her own lamb: One lamb of the 85 recognises that bleat and skips out of the bunch and away to his mother:How did that happen? Had hat lamb special teaching or sheep-ology courses done or degrees in how to train your ear to hear? Don’t think so: I think that lamb had come from a particular womb: he had tasted and smelt and lived in and around his sheep mother:He had been cared for and recognizing his mothers voice was now as natural as chewing the green grass roots:

200 hens in a paddock with say 1560 chicks running free range: Similar scenario: Mother hen detects danger: A hawk is hovering nearby; She calls and only a small number run to her; her own brood; You see it is a matter of life or death to be able to detect that particular voice: There are so many other voices out there but only one voice guarantees security and shelter and safety;

I wonder do christians really know His voice at all? It’s not a matter of meetings attended: It’s not how many chapter sof the bible you read: It’s a survival instinct that comes automatically from deep within: If you were nurtured in His womb: called into birth and fed on the milk of His presence and His love and His security then knowing his voice should come so easily.

The phone rings: You rush in and grab it: A voice speaks! Could it be? Surely? Amazing!
“Is that Mary Harper?” you find yourself saying even though it’s 27 years since ye last met:
“Yes this is Mary: Glad you didn’t forget me”

What I’m saying is: Once you ever reached that point where you could recognise the voice of a person or the voice of Christ it never leaves: You always do:  If you ever had it you still have it:
In that light these words could serve as encouragement to many:

However "He who has the son has life: He who does not have the son does not have life"

So maybe you never knew His voice: Maybe you are just making up the numbers, comfortable among friends and doing no harm to anyone: This message then should be a wake up call to you

This is basic stuff; Let me pose the hard questions many supervisors fear to ask:
John 10:4   “and the sheep are following him, for they are acquainted with his voice”.
Are you acquainted with His voice? Does the question make sense to you?

John 10:3  .... and he is summoning his own sheep by name and is leading them out.
Have you heard Him call out your particular name or nickname?

27 "My sheep are hearing My voice, and I know them, and they are following Me.
Are you following him because you know His voice rather than a church rule or tradition or way of doing things?

See v 26 as its very serious; “ But you are not believing, seeing that you are not of My sheep”
